Un dernier épisode… mais pas vraiment Toutefois, il ne s’agira pas réellement du dernier épisode de la saison 10, puisque Angela Kang a confirmé la diffusion de six épisodes supplémentaires intégrés à la saison 10, au début de l’année 2021. Pour faire saliver les fans, il est d’ores et déjà possible de visionner les trois premières minutes de ce “dernier” épisode de la saison 10. Evidemment, pour éviter toute forme de spoil, on vous déconseille fortement de regarder la vidéo ci-dessus, cette dernière confirmant notamment le retour d’un certain personnage. On le savait depuis un moment, l’épisode sur Negan est le dernier de la saison 10 de The Walking Dead et c’est plutôt malin de la part d’AMC d’avoir clôturé l’avant-dernière saison sur un épisode aussi intéressant. Même si Here’s Negan » ne regorge pas d’action, il se penche sur la relation complexe entre Negan et sa femme Lucille Hilarie Burton Morgan, et montre l’évolution d’un personnage désormais culte de la franchise de Robert Kirkman. Avec ses flashbacks, l’épisode 22 permet même d’avoir un petit aperçu pré-apocalypse zombie, fait rarissime dans The Walking Dead et donc toujours teinté d’un regain d’intérêt pour la série. Les flashbacks sont nombreux et il faut avouer que leur enchaînement rapide au début de l’épisode peut être légèrement frustrant, mais la logique derrière ces retours en arrière est rapidement visible et ces derniers apportent quand même un certain dynamisme malgré une intrigue assez lente. Côté forme donc, on est très loin de l’épisode 21, jugé par les fans comme le pire de toute la série avec des intrigues quasi inexistantes. Ce petit saut dans le passé confirme par ailleurs que c’est bien suite à la mort de sa femme que Negan a réellement changé, et puisque dans le présent il semble enfin avoir fait son deuil, on se demande quel genre de nouveau Negan la saison 11 de The Walking Dead nous fera découvrir. Son retour à Alexandria avec un sourire qu’on a appris à redouter s’annonce houleux et, même si on a hâte de le voir davantage échanger avec Carol et les autres, on peut aussi légitimement se demander s’il finira la série vivant.
